- Find and double-click the downloaded .DMG file.
- Drag the Avast icon into the Applications folder

The browser extension is not required for Avast antivirus to run properly. - Mac OS requires authorization to complete installation. Enter the password and installation completes.
The program may ask to restart your Mac to complete installation. Some Avast components do not function properly until the computer restarts.
